Although Alexandra may be partial to jewel tones, sumptuous silks and tantalizing tassels, for her newborn son’s nursery, Alexandra opted for a soft and serene palette, a cozy space, complete with her favorite Society Social furnishings.
Why is this your favorite room?
James' nursery is my favorite room in our home because while it's James' room, I knew that I would be spending a lot of time in it and I wanted to create a cozy, relaxing space for him, while also keeping it elevated and beautiful for me to enjoy, as well.

Why did you choose a green color palette?
I wanted to keep it classic, but with a twist! I felt like our Sage Green Faux Grasscloth Peel and Stick Wallpaper was the perfect alternative to traditional blue and lends a natural serenity and calmness to the space. James loves to stare at the wallpaper while he lays in his crib and I swear it's because of the texture!

For my custom nursery chair, I wanted something timeless, but that also felt special. Stripes are such a classic, but the scale felt unique and a bit more modern. Do you have a favorite piece in the nursery?
I truly love every piece in the nursery, but the dresser is extremely special to me. I knew that I wanted the pieces for the nursery to be investment pieces that would grow with James as he got older and I have been obsessed with our Katherine Dresser since it was added to the assortment.
This was the first piece I knew I wanted for the nursery and the whole nursery was actually designed around this piece. I love the warmth that the natural cane and brass pulls add to the space, but also the clean crispness of the white. My husband gifted it to me for my first Mother's Day, while I was expecting James, so it will always hold a special place in my heart.
Our Kelly Wicker Children's Chair is currently the cutest piece to store James' stuffed animals, but I can't wait until he's old enough to sit in it himself! Photography by: Demi Mabry
